It is a pale yellow or olive color with a sweet, floral, rosy, geranium-like scent. Common Uses : Palmarosa essential oil is commonly used to help treat acne, dermatitis, and minor skin infections, scars, sores, wrinkles, nervous exhaustion and stress-related conditions.

Dry skin and wrinkles: Cleanse the face, using either hot water and a facecloth or a commercial skin cleanser. Add 3 drops of Palmarosa essential oil to 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, and gently massage into the face and neck with your fingertips. This can be done either at night or during the day, since the oil does not contain any photosensitizing compounds. Unpleasant body odor: Really unpleasant body odor can be caused by various metabolic imbalances, so if it persists for more than a couple of weeks, consult a doctor. To prevent normal body odor, first wash the armpits with a rough cloth, for best results, omit the use of soap or detergent, because the lipids in the soap seem to feed the bacteria.

Thoroughly dry your armpits, then drop 2-3 drops of Palmarosa essential oil into your palms, rub them together and apply the oil to your armpits using your hands. Men may like to add another essential oil, such as Sandalwood or Cedarwood, for a more masculine smell, but Palmarosa essential oil tends to have unisex appeal. Blends well with the following essential oils. Cananga, Geranium, Oakmoss, Rosewood, Amyris, Sandalwood, Guaiacwood, Cedarwood and floral oils.

Use with caution if pregnant or breast feeding as well as for babies or small children and pets, as it can be toxic in higher doses. May cause irritation to sensitive skin, however it is rare.
