Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 is a biomimetic peptide designed to mimic human growth factor (GF). It works by signaling active keratinocytes and melanocytes to produce more hair and pigmentation (darkening of the hair). This also increases the number of hair follicles in the growth phase. These signals significantly stimulate keratin genes, stimulate keratin growth, and enhance the appearance by lengthening & thickening hair and eyelashes. Myristoyl Pentapeptide-17 can stimulate small vellus hairs within the beard line to develop and stimulate inactive hair follicles.
